I talked to Mom today…and like every day she gives me the ‘what-for’ on how she’s feeling and how the radiation/medication is going.  She only has a few sessions left and then her medical care team will decide when to do another scan of the mass to see how much it’s shrunk.  The medication she takes for her liver is making her feel sick…nausea, diarrhea, fatigue.  Mom spends half of her day in bed. 

Monday she meets with the oncologist with her list of questions, namely if they can give her something to ease the ‘ick’ she’s been feeling.  To date, from her initial diagnosis, she’s lost 20 pounds…because she can’t eat for fear of vomiting.  Hopefullly her appointment will bring some changes so she can get on with it…go out and enjoy the things she loves to do.
