I talk to my Mom pretty much every day and I marvel at her attitude.  She hasn’t lost that sense of humor of hers and we get our giggles in here and there.  Lately she’s been feeling better, especially since her radiation treatments ended…except for the now-and-then GI issues (let’s leave it at that).  She probably shouldn’t have had that half of a Big Mac from the D.  It also helps a lot that her sister Shirley and Shirley’s husband Bobby are in town. 

In May I plan on taking time off and going to Fargo for Mom’s Day…and I’ll stay until I drive her nuts.  =-)  I figure I’ll drop the puppy off in Omaha with friends and then go harass the Mom-unit.  She probably wouldn’t be able to handle Jasper…in fact I have my moments.  I spent time and money building him a pen area for when I work long shifts.  Last night I came home mid-shift to let him out and Houdini escaped from his pen.  So I jerry-rigged it so it wouldn’t happen again.  After work I come home hoping to find him in is pen, but instead I have to pick up a chewed bag that used to hold his organic treats.  Can’t wait to pick up the droppings from that fall-out!

So, the saga of the Betty continues, and I’m looking forward to spending some time with her and Mikie.
